Summary of Profile
Olapeju Olasunkanmi’s biological linkages are fully rooted in the Owani royal quarters of Idoani Ondo State. He had both his first and second degrees at the Federal University of Technology Akure, and he is currently rounding off his PhD programme at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is an existentialist, whose passion are in sustainable development; equitable prosperity achievable via the interventionist lever of planning and good governance; and regional developmental symmetry for inclusive development. As an incurable federalist, he had since identified with the more congenial centrist ideological loci for public policies’ interrogation and good governance advocacy, believing that the political economy must be opened up and activated for potentials’ unleashing, the stimulation of growth-poles, and the attendant ramping of revenues to fund impactful public projects, in a pragmatist manner that ensures that the weakest in the society are insulated from the vagaries of market forces’ interplay. He is a corporate member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, and equally registered with the Town Planning Registration Council of Nigeria. He is married and endowed with lovely kids.
